Dear friends,

Yesterday marked the third month since we started this advocacy and I
really appreciate your expression of support and solidarity to the
group. Truly, your response was both inspiring and overwhelming as we
now count 4,405 members which include big names and celebrities in the
Philippines and also from the international community as well as
fellow OFWs from Asia, Europe, Canada, U.S and the Middle East.

However, though much as this should be a reason for celebration, I
must reiterate that our real battle is far from over especially in
view of the seeming apathy, neglect and deafening silence of the
current Arroyo Administration amidst our growing clamor and appeal for
help in behalf of Dondon.

As you know, time is not on our side as the 2010 Philippine National
election draws near and the current administration and political
leaders are more busy and concerned with their own political agenda
and survival and thus more likely to ignore us unless of course we get
substantial numbers enough for them to recognize us as a potential
block deserving of their attention and deliver for them much needed
votes come election time.

In this connection, I must say that much as I hate and wanted to avoid
making our group's advocacy a political or electoral issue, it is my
personal view that necessity and the situation dictate that we must
consider to swim the tide and try our very best to pressure President
Arroyo to help resolve the case of Dondon before the end of her term
in 2010. Otherwise, a change in leadership either by an ally of PGMA
or an opposition candidate winning the election, will practically put
the case of Dondon and our efforts back to square one.

In this regard, may I again seek your favor and request everyone not
only to continue inviting members to join our group but also take one
more step further by posting even a short and simple message in our
group's wall addressed to President Arroyo as often as you can to show
our firm resolve to see Dondon finally free and reunited with his
family.

Thank you very much and God Bless us all

Reggie Jose
