Likhaan is organizing a Conference on Reproductive Health and Rights. With the Theme: “Ensuring Justice and Accountability for Reproductive Health,” the conference has three objectives:
1. To develop a common assessment of the Reproductive Health and Rights situation in many parts of the Philippines using a human rights framework
2. To identify, connect and mutually support initiatives to strengthen RH-RR in the Philippines
3. To test the usefulness of a human rights-based monitoring tool for RH
Around 80 RH leaders and advocates will attend the conference that will include workshops and talks by known RH-RR advocates and practitioners from both government and non-government sectors.
The two-day conference will be held on May 27-28 at the Humabon Conference Room, Sulo Hotel, Matalino Road, Diliman, Quezon City.
As partners in our advocacy for Reproductive Health and Rights, we are inviting you to come and stay for the two-day conference.
Travel and accommodation from May 26-28 will be provided for out-of-town participants – airfare to and from Visayas and Mindanao and bus fares to and from Luzon. We cannot provide accommodation for Metro Manila participants but only modest daily transportation.
Please see attached tentative program.
