EVENT PROFILE: Salubong sa OFW & Balikbayan Show is a co-located event of Mega Balikbayan Expo & OFW Business Summit with the primary goal of recognizing the extraordinary and exemplary deeds, services and contributions of our modern heroes, the OFWs, towards their work, community as well as in their family.



EVENT OBJECTIVE:

Provide recognition and pay tribute to our OFWs for their significant effort in enhancing and promoting the image of the Filipino, thus setting up examples for others to emulate.
Honouring and inspiring OFWs, Balikbayans and their families in their distinct role of promoting Filipino workers’ integrity.
To continue its mission of educating OFWs and vacationing Filipinos through entrepreneurship.
Encourage OFWs and their families to invest in business, thus helping to boost Philippine economy.
Promote and advocate family spirit and values among OFW families.

PRE-QUALIFYING CRITERIA

Must be or have been an OFW for at least two (2) years.
Has no past or present criminal or derogatory record
Must be of good moral standing


REQUIREMENTS FOR NOMINATION

The following requirements must be submitted with the duly accomplished official nomination form.

Copy of Passport
Copy of employment contract
Profile of accomplishments
Copy of awards or citations (if there’s any)
3 copies of latest photo (passport size)


Nominations may be made by:

The employer
The deploying recruitment or placement agency
Industry Associations and Organizations
Co-workers and colleagues
Other reputable individual or institution


Deadline of submission is until November 28, 2009
