The Philippine government is signatory to international commitments such as the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), International Conference on Population and Development Programme of Action (ICPD PoA), Millennium Development Goals, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Convention on the Rights of the Child among others. As signatory, the Philippines is duty bound to uphold these commitments but how are we doing in terms of fulfilling these agreements?
