Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purpose
Repatriated trafficking victims to receive more aid
VIETNAM: A draft regulation on providing public services for victims of human trafficking was discussed at a two-day workshop in HCM City. Officials from 14 southern and central provinces as well as domestic and foreign organisations attended the meeting. The draft regulation outlines the responsibilities of State agencies and relevant stakeholders as well as services for trafficked victims who return to the country (which include legal assistance, health care, vocational training, job creation and loan assistance). In the absence of a law on human trafficking, this new regulation would serve as a legal foundation to ensure the victims' rights and their needs are respected.

As part of the countermeasures, the government will make efforts to enhance counseling services for victims of child pornography and reinforce ethics education.
