A non-government organization (NGO) dealing with health has scored the
statements released by AIDS-FREE Philippines, Human Life
International, and Family Media Advocacy Foundation denouncing condom
advertisements. According to the Reproductive Health Advocacy Network
(RHAN), the AIDS-FREE group's stand against condoms ads are not
grounded in law, science, or logic. RHAN, in a statement, explained
that by denouncing condom advertisements as being "offensive to public
morals" the AIDS-FREE groups have unilaterally taken on te burden of
defining public morality and judging what constitutes offensiveness.
Contrary to the Church¢s belief, not all of the estimated 90 million
Filipinos are devotees to their fait, and even the estimated 60
million Roman Catholic may not ne comfortable with someone else making
