Report 2008 (Right to Work Cluster)

Dear Colleagues:

Warm greetings from the Philippine Human Rights Information Center (PhilRights)!

PhilRights is the research and information center of the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA). It also acts as the lead organization of the Research and Documentation Coordinating Committee (RDCC) of the alliance.

PhilRights is also facilitating an NGO initiative to draft an alternative report on economic, social, and cultural rights that will be submitted to the UN Committee on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (UNCESCR) on October this year.

During the May 7, 2008 meeting of the NGO network for the alternative report, it was agreed that PhilRights will help convene the Right to work cluster and facilitate the drafting of the labor rights section of the alternative report.

In this light, may we invite you to a meeting on May 14, 2008, 9:00 am at the PhilRights office at 53B Maliksi St., Brgy. Pinyahan, Q.C.

Thank you very much and we look forward to your favorable response.

Sincerely Yours,
NYMIA PIMENTEL-SIMBULAN, Dr. P.H.
Executive Director
