Greetings!

The World March of Women - Pilipinas, an international feminist action movement connecting grassroots groups and organizations working towards eliminating the root causes of poverty, all forms of inequality, discrimination and violence against women invites you to attend the "Feminization of Migration Forum "on October 24, 2008, 2:00 - 4:00 PM at PANCAKE HOUSE, HARBOUR SQUARE (at the CCP Complex). The activity is part of the 9-day International event of the People's Global Action on Migration, Development and Human Rights.

The objective of the forum are as follows:

1. To provide a venue for grassroots women to relate the contexts wherein they migrate, to substantiate the data that 74% of overseas filipino workers are women.

2. To deepen discussion on the demand and supply wherein feminization of migration exists, taking into account the international gender division of labour.

3. To contribute to discussions of economic and political solutions to exploitation in migration.
